Virtuozzo Launches Free Migration Program for VMware Cloud Providers

Virtuozzo boothBecause of modifications made to VMware’s Cloud Provider Program (VCPP) after its acquisition by Broadcom, Virtuozzo, a pioneer in alternative cloud platforms, has launched a free migration program for VMware cloud providers searching for a cloud platform alternative.

For more than 20 years, Virtuozzo has enabled cloud computing infrastructure for service providers. Virtuozzo Hybrid Infrastructure, an OpenStack-based solution, offers block, file, and object storage that contemporary businesses might need, together with open standards-based, no-lock-in virtualization and Kubernetes management. By eliminating the need for service providers to handle OpenStack-based cloud architecture, integration, administration, and maintenance, Virtuozzo Hybrid Infrastructure would offer a production-ready solution.

If VCPP members are no longer able to accept VMware under Broadcom’s conditions, or are no longer qualified for VMware, the Virtuozzo campaign would offer a variety of complimentary professional services. Virtuozzo can support them in both maintaining their current cloud service provider (CSP) business model and implementing “a more affordable, long-term-proof public, private, hybrid cloud solution.”

“VMware has been a watchword for cloud for a very long time, and it is sad to see the impact the Broadcom acquisition has had, at very short notice, for VMware cloud partners and their businesses,” said Alex Fine, CEO at Virtuozzo. “We believe in the vital need for alternative cloud providers, for locally-present CSPs and MSPs who offer tailored, sovereign, cost-efficient, properly designed and supported cloud infrastructure services for small businesses, for larger enterprises, and for public sector organizations who depend on robust, affordable cloud. If you used VMware, and now you can’t do that, we’re here to help.”
