Barracuda Uses Ingram Micro to Extend Its U.S. Distribution Network

Barracuda boothIn an effort to expand its market share in the United States, cloud-first security solutions provider Barracuda Networks has established a distribution partnership with Ingram Micro. As per the deal, Ingram Micro is now providing its channel partners in the United States with Barracuda’s extensive range of email, application and cloud, network, and data security solutions.

According to Jason Beal, Vice President of Worldwide Partner Ecosystems at Barracuda, “Channel partners who are investing in cybersecurity, networking, and modern workplace practices will greatly benefit from Ingram Micro’s established expertise in security. One of the foundational elements of our global partner program is partner agility, and through our alliance with Ingram Micro, we look forward to strengthening our sales and technical enablement resources and helping our channel partners protect more customers faster with our advanced cybersecurity solutions.”

Cloud-First Security Solutions

Because of Ingram Micro’s market leadership and access to hyperscalers’ marketplaces, channel partners that provide cloud and hybrid cloud solutions and services would be better equipped to expand their companies more quickly and offer their clients options designed for today’s cutting-edge IT environments. The State, Local, and Education (SLED) emphasis of Ingram Micro is in line with Barracuda’s investments in the public sector vertical, partner enablement initiatives, and focus.

Eric Kohl, Vice President, Security and Networking, Ingram Micro, said, “We are happy to expand our relationship with Barracuda to include the U.S. and play a more significant role in their go-to market strategy and vertical market growth. Adding Barracuda‘s cloud-first security solutions to our cybersecurity portfolio provides our channel partners with an even greater selection of offerings designed to meet their customers’ needs and securely solve for their specific business outcomes.”

The arrangement extends Barracuda’s partnership with Ingram Micro, which currently covers alliances in EMEA and APAC, and comes soon after the introduction of the Barracuda Partner Success Program in December 2023. Ingram Micro is Barracuda‘s second distribution partner in the U.S. The company currently has a distribution relationship in the U.S. and Canada with TD Synnex.
