Kyndryl, HPE Forge Global Alliance for LTE and Private 5G Wireless Services

Kyndryl boothWe reported yesterday on Eurofiber launching its own private 5G offering in partnership with Nokia. Private 5G offerings are taking off even further with the partnership just announced by Kyndryl and HPE. Together, Kyndryl and HPE will develop and deliver LTE and Private 5G wireless services to customers worldwide.

Athonet, a Hewlett Packard Enterprise subsidiary, and Kyndryl are collaborating to develop and provide LTE and private 5G wireless services to clients globally.

Businesses would be able to merge private 5G and Wi-Fi networks thanks to Kyndryl’s integration of business campus wired and WLAN (Wi-Fi 6) connectivity solutions from HPE Aruba Networking with private LTE/5G powered by Athonet. Businesses in a variety of industries will benefit from this technological combination’s increased security, increased connection, increased business agility, and improved overall experience.

“Adding the private LTE/5G service to our joint capabilities will enable to us to capture new markets and customers,” said Paul Savill, Global Network and Edge Computing Practice Leader at Kyndryl.

Customers of Kyndryl’s private wireless networks will be able to get useful network insights by using Kyndryl Bridge, the first open-integration technology services platform in the industry. As a crucial component of Kyndryl Bridge, AIOps would enable users to automate IT infrastructure, lower the chance of network outages, and increase mean time to repair (MTTR).

“As a longstanding partner of HPE, we are thrilled to expand our relationship with Hewlett Packard Enterprise to a global strategic alliance,” said Paul Savill, Global Network and Edge Computing Practice Leader, Kyndryl. “Adding the private LTE/5G service to our joint capabilities will enable to us to capture new markets and customers, doing what we do best together to help large, global enterprises modernize, innovate and secure their businesses.”

HPE GreenLake Partner

Currently, Kyndryl and HPE provide collaborative clients with numerous Compute as a Service (CaaS), networking, WLAN (Wi-Fi 6), ransomware, and disaster recovery solutions.

Kyndryl, an HPE GreenLake Partner, was honored as HPE’s Global System Integrator Momentum Partner of the Year in 2023. This accolade was given in recognition of Kyndryl’s innovative problem-solving, adaptability, and size, as well as its utilization of HPE products to promote client success. Together, the two businesses offer global assistance to clients in a number of sectors, such as healthcare, fashion, cosmetics, finance, telecommunications, and transportation.

“We are extremely excited to work with Kyndryl to deliver our private 5G solutions to large global enterprises,” said David Stark, Vice President and General Manager Telco Solutions at Hewlett Packard Enterprise. “Kyndryl is ideally positioned to deliver the flexibility of Athonet’s open architecture solutions that can work with any radio and any edge-to-cloud environment to customers who need demanding and robust private 5G solutions rather than less flexible closed-box solutions. Kyndryl is also well equipped to bring our Wi-Fi and private 5G solutions together seamlessly to have a single fabric of wireless connectivity for digital and mission-critical communications across their entire operations that is already integrated into the existing IT infrastructure.”
