Glo Fiber Business Expands Connectivity to Washington D.C. with CoreSite

A partnership has been established between Glo Fiber Business, a company powered by Shenandoah Telecommunications Company (Shentel), and CoreSite to provide scalable colocation services for corporate clients at CoreSite’s Washington, D.C. campus. Customers of Glo Fiber Business would gain from the CoreSite colocation because it offers a local, direct, and secured data exchange in Washington, D.C., enabling them to easily connect to AWS, Google, Microsoft, Oracle, and IBM, among other major cloud providers.

Glo Fiber Business’s MEF-certified network, which spans more than 9,300 route miles of fiber, would provide “cutting-edge” data and voice services designed for corporations, governments, and educational institutions. Fiber-optic connection, dedicated Internet access, VoIP, managed services, and network security solutions are all part of their service portfolio, which would be tailored to each client’s unique requirements.

“Glo Fiber Business continues to expand its fiber network reach, data center choices and state-of-the-art services to support our rapid customer growth,” said Craig Venable, Vice President of Commercial Sales at Shentel. “Companies, municipalities and educational institutions of all sizes will benefit from our partnership to leverage peering services and direct cloud connectivity in the CoreSite Washington, D.C. Data Center.”

Additional Fiber Connectivity

Customers in the area may use the meet-me-room (MMR) facilities, colocation services, and data center services offered by the CoreSite Washington, D.C. data center complex. The CoreSite complex further enables the safe integration of domestic fiber networks, cloud, and artificial intelligence providers throughout the United States.

“CoreSite and Glo Fiber Business are aligned in our commitment to deliver mission-critical infrastructure and optimal service to our customers so they can accelerate their time-to-market and improve their competitive edge,” said Maile Kaiser, Chief Revenue Officer for CoreSite. “Working with Glo Fiber Business will provide additional fiber connectivity to our customers while Glo Fiber Business customers will be able to take advantage of the robust ecosystem, enhanced connectivity and cloud access offered by CoreSite.”
