Leaseweb, Gcore, IONOS, OpenMetal and 41 Others Join CNCF

KubeCon CloudNativeCon

Leaseweb, Gcore, IONOS, and OpenMetal (a division of InMotionHosting) are among the 45 new (Silver Tier) members of the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF), which has more than 800 members and is part of the nonprofit Linux Foundation. CNCF creates sustainable ecosystems for cloud native software. These new members will support cloud native innovation to address the diverse cloud challenges organizations face.

“Every quarter it is inspiring to see the number of diverse organizations who are contributing to and leveraging cloud native technologies, and who endeavor further involvement with the community,” said Chris Aniszczyk, CTO of the CNCF. ‘Without the investment from these forward-thinking companies, we would not be able to achieve what we have thus far in building an incredible ecosystem around Kubernetes, responding to challenges we didn’t even know existed when we started in 2015. We look forward to working together with these new members.”

The Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) would offer a range of benefits for its members, as well as certain obligations depending on the level of membership. CNCF members can engage in various capacities, from general membership to more involved roles like platinum members, each offering different levels of benefits and commitments.
