Evoque and Cyxtera Combined Under New Colocation Brand, Centersquare

Evoque-Data-Center-SolutionsA new unified brand known as Centersquare has been revealed by Cyxtera and Evoque, two companies that offer comprehensive solutions for colocation, connectivity, and infrastructure. The rebranding of the combined company would mark a significant milestone in the joint evolution of the organization overall.

The network of data centers owned by Cyxtera was effectively acquired in January. Forty additional data centers, most of them in the United States and Canada, were then acquired by Evoque.

With the agreement that brings together Evoque and Cyxtera’s extensive data center portfolios and infrastructure solutions, Centersquare would be able to carry forward a rich history. With the completion of the acquisition of Cyxtera by Evoque Data Center Solutions in early 2024, an extensive organization was established in 17 markets, primarily in North America.

“The birth of Centersquare is more than just a name change,” said Spencer Mullee, the CEO of Centersquare. “Our dedication to delivering expanded capabilities and innovation is shown in this; it is that commitment. Our customers will benefit from additional capacity, diverse alternatives, increased flexibility, and unsurpassed reliability, all of which are supported by our experienced team. We are ready to provide unparalleled service as a result of merging the talents of two industry giants.”

320MW in 50+ Data Center Locations

Udhay Mathialagan, Chairman of the Board at Centersquare and CEO of Global Data Centers at Brookfield Infrastructure, the parent company of Centersquare, stated that “With this launch, we bring to the market 320MW in over 50 data center locations, and an additional 100MW of near-term under-roof expansion areas. Our platform’s ability to partner with management to increase capacity, both organically and inorganically, to meet the diverse and growing demands of our colocation customers is demonstrated by the rapid growth of this scale.”

DCI Data Centers in Asia-Pacific, Data4 in Europe, and hyperscale operator Compass Data Centers in North America are only few of the other data center companies that are all part of Brookfield Infrastructure’s worldwide data center portfolio.

It is anticipated that the transition to Centersquare will be a gradual and well-orchestrated process that will be completed by the summer of 2024. Clients would be able to witness the development of the company’s online presence, which will culminate in the launch of an extensive and user-friendly website.

‘Our rebranding is not just cosmetic,” said Mitchell Fonseca, Chief Operating Officer of Centersquare. “To maintain the colocation expert service level that is our hallmark, we are making a strategic move toward offering solutions that are more advanced. This journey is something that we are very thrilled to embark on, and we are looking forward to bringing our customers and partners along with us as we take our offerings to new heights.”
