CDNetworks Doubles Digital Infrastructure Investment in the Middle East

CDNetworks boothCDNetworks, a network service provider focused on delivering edge computing solutions across the Asia-Pacific region, has announced a significant expansion of its infrastructure investment in the Middle East. The company plans to double its investment in the region for the year 2024, aiming to accelerate digital transformation across various sectors.

This strategic move would see a significant expansion in CDNetworks’ operational capabilities, including an increase in Points of Presence (PoPs), a doubling of network bandwidth capacity, and the establishment of new anti-DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) scrubbing centers. These network improvements should lead to improved connectivity and security throughout the Middle East’s digital infrastructure.

The announcement was made at the GISEC 2024, a prominent cybersecurity conference, marking CDNetworks’ commitment to contributing to the region’s digital ecosystem. With over 30 collaborations with leading Internet Service Providers (ISPs) such as Etisalat, STC, and Ooredoo, CDNetworks has already established a robust presence with more than 50 PoPs across pivotal Middle Eastern markets, including Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, and Kuwait.

In a push to offer comprehensive network coverage, CDNetworks plans to establish an additional 30 PoPs by the end of 2024. This expansion is expected to provide seamless connectivity that would aid businesses venturing into or operating within the Middle East.

GISEC 2024: Navigating Middle Eastern Markets

Antony Li, CDNetworks’ Global Head of Infrastructure, emphasized the company’s focus on enhancing network performance to meet the growing demands of the region. “Our aim is to establish a benchmark resource network in the Middle East, enhancing digital infrastructure resilience and scalability to support businesses in effectively navigating Middle Eastern markets,” said Mr. Li.

This initiative would not only underline CDNetworks’ dedication to enhancing regional connectivity but also highlight the Middle East’s emerging role as a hub for technological innovation and digital progress on a global scale. With these advancements, CDNetworks aims to position itself as a key player in supporting the digital transformation objectives of businesses operating in the Middle East region.

GISEC 2024 is the leading gathering ground for the worldwide cybersecurity community. Leading cybersecurity companies from across the world, chief information security officers (CISOs) from well-known enterprises in the Middle East, Africa, and Asia, government representatives, cyber leaders, local and international innovators, and subject matter experts are coming together at GISEC 2024. A projected audience of more than 20,000 people from more than 130 countries will see the innovations of over 750 businesses.
