This award was given in recognition of its groundbreaking Speech-to-Text Translator, which would represent a breakthrough in AI-powered communication tools.
The purpose of the NVIDIA Partner Network Awards is to recognize partners in the fields of AI and accelerated computing for their outstanding innovation and commitment. Particularly, the Industry Innovation Award honors those who spearhead revolutionary developments in certain sectors or domains.
The groundbreaking invention of Gcore that won an award was the creation of a sophisticated machine learning model that could translate spoken English into written Luxembourgish. With the help of translations – like movie subtitles – this technical innovation seeks to improve accessibility across a range of media, including theater, cinema, and music.

Gcore isn’t going to stop there. The business is working hard to build real-time translation skills, which will come in handy for conferences and live events. In order to better serve the multilingual population in Luxembourg, plans are also in place to provide translations into French and German, extending the tool’s current language list.

The technical foundation of Gcore’s model is built on Whisper Small, a compact version of the open-source Whisper model, which contains 244 million weights and is powered by NVIDIA’s A100 Tensor Core GPU to handle the demanding computing needs of this sophisticated AI tool. This recognition would not only places Gcore at the forefront of AI innovation but also solidify its role in fostering better communication across linguistic divides.
