Colman Deegan has been named CEO of Zayo Europe by Zayo Group, a major worldwide provider of network infrastructure, to spearhead the company’s expansion as cloud and artificial intelligence use spread throughout the region. The date of this appointment is April 16, 2024.
“Colman’s experience and proven track record as a CEO leading large teams and businesses makes him perfectly equipped to take our European business to new heights, along with our outstanding local team,” said Steve Smith, CEO of Zayo Group. “Colman will lead Zayo ahead, solidifying our alliances with hyperscalers, data centers, and businesses throughout Europe. Deegan worked at Vodafone for more than 20 years, holding executive roles including CEO of Vodafone Turkey, CFO of Vodafone India and Italy, and Group M&A Director. Most recently, he oversaw a profitable operational turnaround in one of the most cutthroat marketplaces while serving as CEO of Vodafone Spain.
