Global company in hybrid attack detection, investigation, and response, Vectra AI, has announced the hiring of Jeff Reed to the newly established position of Chief Product Officer. Following the introduction of the Vectra AI platform last summer and the launch of Vectra MXDR this year—the first worldwide, round-the-clock open MXDR service designed to fend off hybrid attacks—the company is experiencing rapid growth and momentum at this time.

Vectra AI established the Chief Product Officer role in order to broaden its comprehensive guidance and provide clients with the AI-driven solutions required to defend against cyberattacks, seeing the increased necessity to do away with isolated threat detection in today’s hybrid assault field. As a member of the Vectra AI leadership team, Reed will take on a new role that will give him strategic responsibility for all product-related projects, including engineering, product management, product and technical marketing, and customer support. To further develop extraordinary value, this entails providing strategic direction and managing operations.
Reed comes to Vectra AI from Google Cloud, where he oversaw product for Google’s serverless, Anthos, and Kubernetes Engine portfolios before most recently serving as VP of Product for Cloud Security. During his 10 years at Cisco, Reed held several top positions, including SVP and GM of cloud and network security and SVP of Product Management for the company’s $16 billion enterprise networking division, before leaving to join Google in 2020. Reed worked in key roles in product development, alliances, and business development at major enterprise software companies including Symantec before joining Cisco.
