Mehandru, formerly the Senior Vice President of Marketing at Illumio, brings over 20 years of cross-functional leadership experience to his new role, having worked with Fortune 500 companies, high-growth enterprises, and startups. As CMO, Mehandru will solidify Illumio’s position as the market leader in Zero Trust Segmentation and shape the marketing strategy to drive the company’s next phase of growth.

Mehandru has been with Illumio for nearly two years, joining after leading portfolio and customer marketing and shaping the go-to-market strategy at Tanium, a provider of converged endpoint management. He also held leadership positions in product marketing and global channel and alliances business for SAP Concur’s mid-market division.

Mehandru emphasized the importance of Illumio’s role in the cybersecurity landscape, helping organizations isolate ransomware, build cyber resilience, and prevent breaches from escalating into disasters. He praised the impact of Illumio’s products and services on customers and the industry, highlighting their ability to deliver tangible business results. Mehandru expressed his inspiration and enthusiasm for Illumio’s innovation, commitment, and approach to cybersecurity for modern threats. Despite economic uncertainties, Illumio achieved a record fiscal year ending in January 2023, with the fourth quarter delivering outstanding performance across all key metrics, including bookings of over $100 million. The company celebrated its largest number of new customers in a single quarter and achieved the highest net new annual contract value (NNACV) in its history.
