Legrand Expands Data Center Portfolio with Two Key Acquisitions

Legrand, a major player in the electrical and digital building infrastructure sector, has expanded its portfolio in the data center infrastructure market by acquiring two new companies. The two acquisitions include companies specializing in data center power distribution and busbars.

The first, Davenham, is an Irish firm specializing in low-voltage power distribution systems, particularly for data centers, and includes hyperscale setups. It boasts an annual revenue of approximately €120 million

The second acquisition, VASS, is an Australian leader in busbars, primarily serving data centers and reporting revenues near €10 million. These acquisitions would strengthen Legrand’s presence in both the ‘white’ (servers’ room) and ‘grey’ (technical room) areas of data centers. Financial terms of the two acquisitions wre not disclosed.

Annual Revenue Exceeding €200M

These moves add to a series of acquisitions aimed at boosting Legrand’s offerings in this high-opportunity sector.

These acquisitions by Legrand, when combined with the three previous investments – MSS, Enovation, and Netrack – announced earlier this year, amount to an annual revenue of over €200 million.

In 2023, Legrand recorded revenues of €8.4 billion. Notably, the company is a component stock of the CAC 40, CAC 40 ESG, and CAC SBT 1.5 indexes. It is listed on Euronext Paris.
