DāSTOR Expands Colocation Offering, Buys New Delaware Data Center

DāSTOR, a provider of scalable and secure hybrid colocation solutions, has acquired a new data center at 3 Boulden Circle in New Castle, Delaware. This addition would significantly enhance the company’s ability to offer optimized data management solutions tailored for enterprise needs, including services crucial for cloud and AI service providers.

Spanning over 30,000 square feet of raised floor, the new facility is designed to meet the immediate needs of new customers while supporting DāSTOR’s strategic growth objectives. Located strategically along the Interstate-95 corridor, between the cloud and data center hubs of Ashburn, Virginia, and New York/New Jersey, the facility would be ideally positioned to serve a broad spectrum of clients. These include cloud service providers (CSPs), large enterprises, and technology firms seeking robust digital infrastructure solutions.

Delaware’s favorable tax regime for IT equipment expenditures would enhance the appeal of the new colocation facility, making it an attractive site for tech companies looking to optimize costs while expanding their operational capacities. Financial terms of the data center acquisition were not disclosed.

Data Center Hub

The acquisition marks DāSTOR‘s fifth data center in a region where the demand for such facilities would consistently exceed supply. The mid-Atlantic area is known for hosting several of the nation’s largest data center concentrations, built on dense fiber routes that provide global connectivity, which is essential for delivering superior digital infrastructure solutions.

Beyond just expanding its physical footprint, DāSTOR says it is dedicated to continuously evolving its service offerings to meet the emergent needs of businesses. The company provides a comprehensive suite of data center services that include data storage and backup, solutions for both private and public clouds, and advanced security measures such as data classification and tools for ransomware protection. These offerings are designed to ensure that enterprises can not only keep pace with the rapid advancements in technology but also secure their critical data against evolving cyber threats.
