Marika Auramo has been named CEO of Vodafone Business. On the same day, she will also join Vodafone’s Executive Committee. Marika is a well-known corporate executive with over 25 years of experience in the international IT sector.
She comes from the multinational corporation SAP, where she served as the EMEA region’s chief business officer. In this capacity, Marika was in charge of overseeing 14,000 workers and developing the go-to-market strategy for SAP’s product line in 89 countries.
Since joining SAP in 1999, Marika has held a variety of leadership positions, including Global COO of SAP Database and Data Management in the US, Managing Director for the Nordic and Baltic region, COO EMEA North, and Interim President of the EMEA region.

Giorgio Migliarina, who has effectively managed Vodafone Business as an interim CEO, will hand off to Marika. 5% gain in service revenue was recorded by Vodafone Business during the Group’s third-quarter trading update. Strong demand from the public sector and expanding customer uptake of new digital services like cloud, security, and internet of things are driving Vodafone Business’s growth across all segments.
